How does your blood look like as you see it with naked eye?

Blood appears red to the naked eye due to the presence of haemoglobin, a protein found in red blood cells. Haemoglobin contains an iron ion that binds to oxygen molecules, which are then transported throughout the body. When haemoglobin is oxygenated, it appears bright red, while deoxygenated haemoglobin appears darker red. This difference in colour can be seen when blood is drawn from a vein (deoxygenated) compared to when it is exposed to air (oxygenated).
