What are sympthons of glaucoma?

Glaucoma is a group of eye diseases that damage the optic nerve, which is responsible for sending visual information from the eye to the brain. Glaucoma is often associated with increased pressure inside the eye, but it can also occur with normal eye pressure.

Early glaucoma usually has no symptoms. As the disease progresses, symptoms may include:

* Patchy blind spots in your peripheral (side) vision

* Loss of central vision

* Blurred vision

* Pain in the eyes

* Headaches

* Seeing halos around lights

* Difficulty seeing in low light

* Nausea and vomiting

If you experience any of these symptoms, it's important to see an eye doctor right away. Early diagnosis and treatment can help to slow or stop the progression of glaucoma and prevent serious vision loss.
