How to Replace the Legs of Eyeglasses
Replace the legs, or temples, of your eyeglasses in a few simple steps. Temples are fixed with a replacement part from the exact style of frame or sometimes with a similar piece from a different frame. The temple is attached to the frame front at the hinge, and the replacement piece has to have the same style hinge to fit properly.Things You'll Need

1
Place a towel on your work surface or table top. Work over the towel to catch small screws in case they fall. Cover the lenses of your glasses with a small hand towel to prevent accidentally scratching the lenses.

2
Use temples from a similar style frame. Line up the hinge piece of the temple with the hinge piece of the frame front. The temple hinge has one or more piece that slides into the hinge on the frame front. Gently fit the pieces together and close the temple as if folding the glasses to put them in a case.

3
Insert the screw into the screw hole in the hinge after the hinge pieces are lined up. Place the screwdriver tip into the end of the screw and tighten the screw. Be careful not to over-tighten or you might strip the screw. Repeat with the other temple.
