How to Prepare Eye Wash
If you're prone to itchy, dry or bloodshot eyes, a homemade eye wash could be the solution you're looking for. Although there are prepared eyewashes available at drugstores, you may not feel comfortable putting chemicals in your eyes or you simply may not be well enough to go out to a drugstore. Luckily, if you're a tea drinker, you should have all of the ingredients you need to prepare a homemade eye wash.Things You'll Need
- Distilled water
- Green tea
- Kettle
- Teapot
- Bowl
- Paper towel
- Tea filter

Heat one cup of distilled water in your kettle until it has reached the boiling point.

Place one green tea bag or one teaspoon of green tea leaves in your teapot. Pour the distilled water into the teapot and let the tea brew for a few minutes.

Pour the green tea into a bowl. Remove the leaves from the tea using a tea filter.

Allow the tea to cool. This may take about ten minutes.

Wash your face and hands with a mild soap.

Dampen a paper towel with the green tea. Dab your eyes with the dampened paper towel or use slow, circular wiping strokes.
