How to Increase Vision Without Glasses
Vision therapy is a method of helping to correct some vision problems or improve reading ability. Vision therapy can help increase vision without the need for glasses for those who suffer from lazy eye, double vision and convergence insufficiency. According to the Mayo Clinic, convergence insufficiency is the improper alignment of the eyes when the person tries to focus on close objects. Convergence insufficiency is often diagnosed in children and adolescents. Vision therapy has also been used to successfully treat people with reading problems.Things You'll Need

1
Obtain a complete eye examination from a board-certified ophthalmologist to rule out eye problems that can only be repaired with corrective lenses or eye surgery. Ask your ophthalmologist or a licensed optometrist to recommend an effective vision therapy program if you have been diagnosed with convergence insufficiency or lazy eye or if you experience double vision.
-
2
Exercise your eyes to improve blurred vision or double vision caused by convergence insufficiency. Hold a pencil or a business card at arm's length and level with your eyes. Focus on the small letters printed on the side of the pencil or one word on the business card. Bring the pencil or card toward your eyes while maintaining your focus on the letters. Stop when you experience double vision. Repeat the exercise every day for 15 minutes each day.

3
Use a computer vision therapy program on your home computer. Perform the eye exercises and focusing practice using the computer software as directed by your optometrist or ophthalmologist. Print your results and take them to your eye doctor at your next appointment.
