Instructions

    • 1

Cover a flat surface with a lint-free towel. Arrange the contact lens case, the contact lens trial packages and the solution on the surface. Ideally, you should have a mirror directly in front of you.

    • 2

Wash your hands thoroughly with a mild soap. Make sure the soap does not contain lotion. Dry your hands with a lint-free towel.

    • 3

Shake the package of the right trial contact lens to ensure that the lens is floating in the solution. Open the blister pack by peeling back the foil cover. Make sure your finger is dry. Slide the lens out of the blister pack. If your lenses are already in a contact lens case, unscrew the cap and slide the lens out of the case.

    • 4

Arrange the lens on the index finger of your dominant hand. Make sure the lens is not inside out. The lens should assume a bowl shape. Apply mild pressure to the edges of the lens. If it folds like a taco it is in the proper orientation.

    • 5

Use the middle finger of your dominant hand to control your bottom eyelid. Pull down the bottom eyelid firmly. Control the upper eyelid with either the forefinger or the middle finger of your non-dominant hand. Place the lens onto the eye taking care to center it. Release your eyelids.

    • 6

Repeat the steps with the left contact lens.

    • 7

Make sure to empty any residual contact lens solution from your case. Rinse the case in hot water and let it air dry. Never leave solution from the night before in the case.
