1
Apply a thick layer of hydrofluoric acid over the anti-reflective coating on the eyeglasses. Use a cotton swab to apply it. Leave it on for five minutes.
-
2
Rinse the eyeglasses with warm soapy water. Do not rub the lenses as it could end up damaging them. Hold the eyeglasses under a running faucet until the hydrofluoric acid is removed.
-
3
Blot the eyeglass lenses with a soft towel. Do not rub or press too hard on the lenses. The anti-reflective coating should be gone at this point.
