How to Decrease a Stye
A stye generally appears as a small reddish bump on your eyelid area. They are caused by bacteria that find its way into an eyelash hair follicle, according to Health-Disease.org. Even though small, some styes can be painful or cause itching. Other symptoms include discomfort when blinking and tearing of the eye. Most styes go away on their own after about five days, but you can decrease the look of one by following a few tips.Things You'll Need
- Acacia leaves, about a handful
- 2 cups of water
- Pot
- Washcloth
- Coriander seeds

Boil a handful of acacia leaves in 2 cups of water to make an extract.

Apply the solution as a compress on the eyelids for 15 minutes, using a clean washcloth.

Boil 1 tsp. coriander seeds with a cupful of water.

Wash the eyes with the resulting solution three to four times a day.

Apply a warm compress for 5 to 10 minutes, three or four times a day, directly on the stye.
