Who can get Syndrome?

Anyone can develop syndrome of inappropriate secretion of antidiuretic hormone (SIADH), but it is more likely to affect certain groups of people. Individuals with certain medical conditions, such as lung or heart disease, cancer, or infections, are at higher risk of developing SIADH. Additionally, people who take certain medications, such as diuretics or antidepressants, may also experience SIADH.
