What is polydysuria?
Polydysuria is the term for the production of frequent small volumes of urine.
- Symptoms: a frequent and often irresistible need to pass small amounts of urine.
- Causes: overactive bladder, infection of the urinary tract (UTI) like cystitis, urethritis, or prostatitis, urethral stricture disease, interstitial cystitis, diabetes, diabetes insipidus, diuretics, heart disease, caffeine and alcohol, menopause, anxiety or stress, pregnancy.
- Treatment: depends on the cause
