Uric acid is also found in beans, chicken, pork, seafood and other wheat and wheat products. Eat these foods in moderation if you need to reduce your uric acid levels. Also watch out for mushrooms, asparagus, green peas, spinach, and cauliflower.

FRUCTOSE - Stop eating foods with fructose in them if you need to lower your uric acid levels. Foods with High Fructose Corn Syrup in them are not good for you any way and they are especially bad if you have high levels of uric acid. Fructose is also in sucrose. Avoid soft drinks and other food with any form of fructose in it.

HEREDITARY - It may be that you have high levels of uric acid naturally because it runs in your family. It may be harder for you to control your uric acid levels if this is the case. You can still control your uric acid by eating properly, but please remember that you do need uric acid and you do not want your levels to become too low.
