Yeast infections are typically treated with over-the-counter or prescription medications such as antifungal creams but there are several other ways to treat yeast infections naturally. One of the most common methods is with a vinegar douche. Mix 1 teaspoon of vinegar in 1 quart of warm water and use as a douche to restore the natural balance of the vagina.

Hydrogen peroxide can also be used to make a douche to treat yeast infections. Add 2 capfuls of hydrogen peroxide to a quart of warm water. An alternative to this method is to add a couple of capfuls of hydrogen peroxide to your bath water and soak. It is important to keep in mind that the vagina is self-cleansing. Once the yeast infection has cleared up it is not necessary to douche on a regular basis.

Replace 2 to 3 times daily. An alternative to using a tampon is to place the yogurt on a pad and wear, changing as needed.
