What is the function of cystic ducts?

The cystic ducts are tiny tubes that connect the gall bladder to the common hepatic duct. The cystic ducts allow bile, a fluid that helps in the digestion of fats, to flow from the gall bladder into the common hepatic duct. The common hepatic duct then carries the bile to the small intestine, where it helps in the digestion and absorption of fats.
