How to Lessen Period Symptoms

Period symptoms, also known as premenstrual syndrome (PMS), are physical and emotional. These symptoms affect women just before and during their monthly menstrual cycles. Four or more daily servings of dairy products such as cheese and yogurt may prevent the onset of PMS symptoms. Period symptoms can include tension, irritability, anxiety, loneliness and tearfulness. According to SixWise.com, a study by Archives of Internal Medicine revealed that taking calcium with vitamin D reduces PMS and may prevent these symptoms altogether. Treatment includes healthy diet, proper supplements and lifestyle changes.
