Androgenetic Alopecia Treatment
Androgenetic alopecia is a type of hair loss that affects men and women. Some treatments for androgenetic alopecia are more expensive and carry side effects while some home remedies are less expensive and might cause few side effects.-
Topical Treatments
-
Use topical treatments such as Nizoral shampoo, Selsun Blue or Neutrogena T-Gel, which contain coal tar. These shampoos have the power to cleanse severe dandruff, also known as seborrheic dermatitis, and nourish the scalp, which promotes hair growth.
Oral Treatments
-
Use oral treatments including Biotin, Saw Palmetto and MSM to promote hair growth by building proteins in the scalp and blocking the production of excessive DHT (dihydrotestosterone), which can cause androgenetic alopecia.
Natural Treatments
-
Use either apple cider or white vinegar on the scalp daily. Wash the hair using a topical shampoo containing coal tar or salicylic acid. Dry the hair without using a hair dryer and comb vinegar through the follicles and into the scalp. Allow the vinegar to dry. Vinegar kills fungus that cause severe seborrheic dermatitis, which can be a contributing cause of androgenetic alopecia.
