Instructions

    • 1

Allow the roots of your hair to grow out by not placing any more permanent hair color on your hair.

    • 2

Wear a headband to temporary conceal grey roots. Brush hair back in a straight design and wear a headband at the forehead to conceal the hairline.

    • 3

Wear a bandanna to cover up larger growing roots as time goes by. Make sure the bandanna covers the hairline at the beginning of the forehead as well as the the back of the scalp on the top of the head. Keeping these areas covered will conceal the grey hair that is growing in.

    • 4

Apply a temporary color to your roots that will last for one to a few washings. This will not have a permanent effect on growing out your grey roots.

    • 5

Visit your cosmetologist or barber to have your hair trimmed. This will cut out any color that you do not want in your hair allowing the grey to grow in and take over faster. Ask the cosmetologist about having the current color in your hair stripped.
