How to Restore Damaged Hair Follicles
Baldness is a very frustrating condition and can be embarrassing as well. There are multiple causes for balding, such as genetics, malnutrition or an infection of the scalp. Hair falls out because something has affected the hair follicles, which are structures in the scalp responsible for hair growth. 1
Avoid using any hair dyes or harsh detergents on your scalp. Chemicals could be damaging the follicles and your scalp needs a break so the follicles can heal naturally.
-
2
Pour a mixture of apple cider vinegar and water in a 50/50 solution over your scalp once a day and rub it into the follicles. Allow it to sit for 10 minutes before rinsing it out. This helps kill any potential fungal infection that may be damaging the hair follicles.

3
Soak your scalp in warm olive oil or coconut oil every other night. Sleep in a shower cap to keep the oil in contact with the scalp. Rinse it out the next morning. This helps correct excessive scalp dryness that may be contributing to follicle damage.

Visit your physician. You may be prescribed a cortisone shot or Rogaine treatments. Both have been shown to stimulate the hair follicles and facilitate hair growth under the right circumstances.
