Do dead ends make your hair fall out?
Dead ends do not cause hair loss. Hair loss, also known as alopecia, can have various causes, including genetics, hormonal imbalances, medical conditions, certain medications, aging, poor nutrition, and certain hairstyles or treatments that put excessive tension on the hair. Split ends, or dead ends, occur when the protective outer layer of the hair strand becomes damaged, causing the hair to split or fray at the ends. While split ends can make hair look dry and unkempt, they do not directly contribute to hair loss.
