Natural Home Remedies to Stop Hair Loss

Losing hair can be very stressful for any individual. Though hair loss is most often associated with men, it can certainly occur in women as well. Many products are available, both over the counter and by prescription, to combat hair loss. It's also possible to make your own home remedies to help stop hair loss, which you may want to try first before having to spend a lot more money on the store-bought products.
  1. Mustard Oil and Henna

    • Measure (or weigh) 250 g of mustard oil and place in a small saucepan. Weigh 100 g of henna leaves, and place them in the same pan. Stir the oil and leaves together, mixing well. Place the pan on the stove. Turn the stove on and bring the mixture to a boil. Stir the mixture thoroughly and remove from the stove. Allow to cool. Massage the oil mixture into your scalp and areas of hair loss. Do not rinse the oil out until the next time you wash your hair.

    Egg Yolk

    • Crack an egg and separate the yolk from the white. Place the yolk into a small bowl. Beat the yolk with a small whisk or fork for 10 seconds. Apply the yolk to areas of hair loss. Allow the yolk to dry for one hour. Wash your hair as your normally would to remove the yolk.

    Olive Oil and Cumin

    • Pour 1/2 cup of olive oil into a small bowl. Add 1 tsp. of cumin to the olive oil. Mix the oil and cumin thoroughly with a fork or small whisk. Rub the mixture into your scalp and other areas of hair loss. Allow the mixture to dry for 30 minutes. Rinse your hair with fresh water.
