What Can I Do for Maximum Hair Growth?
-
Nutrition
-
One of the best things you can do for your hair--and the rest of your body--is to eat right. Your body requires adequate nutrition to keep hair growing at maximum speed. Eat lots of vitamin-rich fruits and vegetables every day. Also eat plenty of whole grains and lean protein, such as fish and chicken. A nutritional supplement may also help to ensure that you are getting all of the proper nutrients. Find a vitamin containing zinc, beta carotene, copper, and vitamins A and E.
Massage
-
A daily head massage is another option for keeping hair growing its fastest. Massage helps increase blood circulation to tissues, increasing the oxygen and nutrient supply in that area. Every time you wash your hair, give your scalp a vigorous massage for about three minutes.
Exercise
-
Exercise is another important factor when trying to grow out your hair. Like massage, physical activity improves blood circulation to the scalp. It has the added benefit of improving circulation to the rest of your body as well. Although there is no exact amount of exercise that works for maximum hair growth, any exercise is better than none at all.
Essential Oils
-
Two essential oils make up a popular folk remedy for maximum hair growth. Rosemary and sage essential oils are thought to stimulate the hair follicles, hopefully promoting quicker growth. Both rosemary and sage essential oils are widely available in health-food stores, so pick up a bottle and massage some of the oil into your scalp every day.
