Safe Hair Growth Remedies

Many people, men and women both, can suffer from early hair loss. Losing hair while young can make a person feel and look much older. There are many treatments for hair loss, including shampoos and laser surgery. However, these treatments can have side effects. There are many safe, natural methods to treat hair loss.
  1. Herbal Treatments

    • There are many herbal treatments for hair loss. Herbalists have prescribed bhringaraj, saw palmetto, aloe vera, rosemary, safe and yucca for hair loss. These herbs are easy and safe to use. Buy some of the herbs and grind them up into a fine paste. Spread this paste on your scalp and let it dry. This may take about half an hour to an hour. Once it has dried, wash your scalp and hair to get the residue out of your hair. These treatments haven't been tested scientifically for effectiveness. It is important to remember that most of the evidence for their effectiveness has been testimonial.

    Food Remedies

    • There are many foods that have been prescribed as promoting hair growth. Coconut oil, castor oil, amla, honey, egg yolk, almond oil, apple cider vinegar, onions, black dal lentil, lime seeds, black pepper, raw mango pulp and sage tea have all been prescribed for use in hair growth. The vitamins and minerals in these foods are supposed to promote hair growth. As a result, these foods can simply be eaten to be effective. However, they can also be applied directly to the scalp via a ground paste. You should note, however, that the effectiveness of these treatments will vary depending on a person to person basis.

    Hair Care

    • One of the least noted ways to stimulate hair growth is to take special care of your hair and scalp. When you are bathing, don't wash your hair with extremely hot water. If the water is too hot, it may scald your head and can harm the hair follicles in your scalp. This can cause them to die, which can result in hair loss. You can also avoid washing your hair every day, and instead wash your hair only twice a week with a mild shampoo.

Don't comb your hair backwards. Your hair isn't designed to lie in this direction, and forcing it to can damage the follicles. Avoid brushing your hair too much, as you can end up pulling hair out of your head and damaging hair even further.
