Homeopathy Cure for Hair Loss

Hair loss is a problem that affects men and women alike. Though many people find successful treatment for hair loss from medical treatments, there are many homeopathic remedies that are highly effective in treating and, in some cases, reversing hair loss. Homeopathic remedies for hair loss also carry less risk for side effects than pharmaceutical and medical treatments for hair loss.
  1. Apple Cider Vinegar

    • Use apple cider vinegar as a rinse after shampooing the hair. Mix a solution of half apple cider vinegar and half water in the hair. Work the rinse through the hair follicles and into the scalp. Soak the vinegar into the scalp for one to three minutes before rinsing the hair with warm water. Allow the hair to dry for a few minutes before using a comb or brush for styling the hair. Apple cider vinegar helps rid the hair of fungal infections and helps block the excessive production of sebum, which is an oil produced in the sebaceous gland of the scalp. Excessive production of sebum effectively starves growth of hair and leaves flakes that give the appearance of severe dandruff.

    Aloe Vera

    • Condition the hair with aloe vera before shampooing. Use natural aloe vera juice straight from the plant or from a bottle purchased from an herbal store. Massage the aloe vera into the scalp and toward the tips of the hair follicle. Allow the aloe vera to penetrate the scalp for one to three minutes. Rinse the aloe vera from the hair and scalp using tepid water. Follow the aloe vera rinse with a gentle herbal shampoo.

    Saw Palmetto

    • Saw palmetto is an herb that is used to control the production of DHT, the hormone that can cause hair loss. Saw palmetto is available in the form of supplements, shampoos, conditioners and styling aids. Use saw palmetto products as directed on the package label. In addition to controlling the production of DHT in the body, saw palmetto helps to improve the health of the prostate gland in men.
