Heart Palpitation Cure

Heart palpitations are irregular beats that occur within the heart. They are usually harmless. However, palpitations can indicate an underlying health problem such as heart failure or heart disease. There are a few remedies that can help people who suffer from palpitations.
  1. Keep Your Cool

    • The amount of stress a person is under can really contribute to the number of palpitations a person can experience on any given day. Stress that takes place in the mind also affects the heart and the rest of the body. When the heart is under stress more palpitations will most likely occur. Finding a constructive way to cope with everyday stress is a great remedy for palpitations. This can include activities like yoga, working out, reading, cooking or relaxing and watching some television.

    You Are What You Eat

    • Following a heart healthy diet that is low in sodium, fat and cholesterol is helpful for minimizing palpitations. Sodium forces the body to retain water which causes high blood pressure and palpitations. Fat and cholesterol can increase blood pressure along with narrowing the arteries, which also causes an increase in palpitations.

    Medication

    • There are a number of heart medications that can help with arrhythmia or palpitations. The drugs in this category help minimize the strain on the heart and the heart can then pump easier. Beta blockers are a common type of drug that help to cure palpitations. Basically, these drugs control the flow of adrenaline to the heart, and this allows for more regulated beats.
