What arteries surround the heart?

The following arteries surround the heart:

1. Left Coronary Artery (LCA): Arises from the aorta just above the aortic valve. It divides into two main branches:

- Left Anterior Descending Artery (LAD): Supplies blood to the anterior (front) wall of the left ventricle.

- Left Circumflex Artery (LCX): Supplies blood to the lateral (side) wall and the posterior (back) wall of the left ventricle.

2. Right Coronary Artery (RCA): Arises from the aorta just above the left coronary artery. It divides into two main branches:

- Right Atrioventricular Artery (RAV): Supplies blood to the right atrium and the right ventricle.

- Posterior Descending Artery (PDA): Supplies blood to the posterior wall of the right ventricle.
