How do you label a heart?
The labels for the different parts of a human heart are as follows:
1. Right atrium: This is the upper right chamber of the heart that receives blood from the body through two large veins called the superior vena cava and the inferior vena cava.
2. Right ventricle: This is the lower right chamber of the heart that pumps blood to the lungs through a large blood vessel called the pulmonary artery.
3. Pulmonary artery: This is the blood vessel that carries blood from the right ventricle to the lungs.
4. Lungs: These are two large organs located in the chest cavity that are responsible for gas exchange (oxygen is taken up and carbon dioxide is released).
5. Pulmonary veins: These are four blood vessels that carry oxygen-rich blood from the lungs to the left atrium of the heart.
6. Left atrium: This is the upper left chamber of the heart that receives oxygen-rich blood from the lungs through the pulmonary veins.
7. Left ventricle: This is the lower left chamber of the heart that pumps oxygen-rich blood to the rest of the body through a large blood vessel called the aorta.
8. Aorta: This is the largest blood vessel in the body that carries oxygen-rich blood from the left ventricle to all parts of the body.
