Is the Heart really on left side?
While it's commonly said that the heart is on the left side of the chest, this isn't entirely accurate. The heart is actually located in the center of the chest, slightly to the left. This misconception may have arisen due to the fact that the heart's apex (the lower, pointy part) is more prominent on the left side and can be felt more easily there. However, the majority of the heart's mass lies behind the sternum, which is in the middle of the chest. If you were to draw a line down the center of your body, your heart would be located just to the left of that line.
