Family history: Having a family history of pyloric stenosis increases the risk of the condition.
Prematurity: Babies born prematurely are more likely to develop pyloric stenosis than full-term babies.
Use of certain antibiotics: Certain antibiotics, such as erythromycin, have been linked to an increased risk of pyloric stenosis.
Certain medical conditions: Certain medical conditions, such as Down syndrome, increase the risk of pyloric stenosis.
