To make this breakfast acid reflux-proof, switch out your normal eggs with 6 tbsp. of egg substitute, and mix it with 2 tsp. of sugar, 6 tbsp. of 2 percent milk, ¼ tsp. of ground nutmeg, ½ tsp. of pure vanilla extract and ¹⁄₈ tsp. of salt. Dunk four slices of sourdough bread in the mixture, and cook both sides on a gridle or in a frying pan over medium heat. Serve with maple syrup.

Soak four skinless chicken breasts in buttermilk for 30 minutes in the refrigerator. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Cover a baking dish with canola oil. Coat the chicken with 1 cup of unbleached flour, 2 tsp. of salt, ¼ tsp. of cayenne pepper and 2 tsp. of fresh cracked black pepper. Cover the chicken in canola cooking spray. Bake in the center of the oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
Apple Crisp

Whip up this delicious treat for dessert. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Spritz your baking dish with canola cooking spray. Fill with 7 cups of sliced apples. Coat the apples with a mixture of ¾ cup of flour, ¾ cup of old-fashioned oats, ¾ cup of dark brown sugar, ½ tsp. of salt, ¾ tsp. of ground cinnamon, ¼ tsp. of allspice, 4 tsp. of melted butter, 1 tsp. of vanilla, 2 tsp. of buttermilk. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Serve with ice cream.
