Homeopathic Acid Reflux Gas Cure

When stomach acid builds up, it creates acid reflux, which can be very uncomfortable and disruptive to someone's daily lifestyle. It can disrupt day-to-day life (both home and work) and an individual's sleep. There are many homeopathic remedies for treating acid reflux that can help reduce the acid reflux.
  1. Apple Cider Vinegar

    • This may come as a surprise, because apple cider vinegar is so acidic, but it actually works as a very effective treatment against acid reflux. Apple cider vinegar is considered to be a good acid and balances out the body's pH naturally. Look for organic apple cider vinegar, as this has a higher pH, which is what you should be looking for when treating acid reflux naturally. To take apple cider vinegar, add 1 to 2 tsp. of apple cider vinegar to 16 oz. of water and drink. Apple cider vinegar water can be sipped throughout the day or substituted for regular water consumption.

    Ginger Root

    • Ginger has been used for centuries as a stomach remedy. Ginger root works in the stomach by absorbing the excess stomach acid. It also calms the nerves and has the affect of helping to rid the body of headaches. For individuals who are experiencing dizziness and nausea due to their stomach problems, ginger will also help ease these symptoms. Ginger root is available in tea form, candy form and in capsule form. Take one ginger capsule after eating, particularly after dinner, for the best results. Ginger root capsules can be purchased from your local health food store. Ginger soda is also available in most grocery stores and can be drunk to settle the stomach.

    Anise and Lavender Tea

    • Tea is good for combating heartburn. You can make your own tea from scratch to help alleviate heartburn symptoms. To make the tea, mix equal parts of lavender and anise herb and put into a metal tea strainer or tie in cheesecloth. Boil approximately two and a half cups of water on the stove. Add the herbs to the water and allow it to steep for several minutes. Remove the herb and serve with honey. Drink 8 oz. of tea to ease heartburn symptoms. This can be drunk in the evening or just before bed. Avoid adding the honey if this makes it too sweet.
