Aciphex Vs. Nexium
Medications such as Aciphex and Nexium are often prescribed to treat a medical condition called acid reflux disease, also known as gastroesophageal reflux disease. Reflux happens when stomach acid flows back into the esophagus causing various symptoms, such as burning, belching and a bad taste in the mouth. It can also erode the delicate lining of the esophagus, which, if left untreated, may lead to difficulty swallowing, scarring, bleeding and other possible serious conditions.-
Aciphex
-
Aciphex, otherwise known as rabeprazole sodium, is a proton pump inhibitor that reduces the acid your stomach produces. One pill taken once daily, Aciphex is prescribed for persistent heartburn and other symptoms associated with acid reflux disease. Short-term treatments of four to eight weeks are used for relief and healing of erosive (damaging) reflux disease.
