Long-Term Use

A rare side effect with long-term use of over three years is vitamin B-12 deficiency, with symptoms of weakness, sore tongue, and numbness or tingling in the hands or feet.
Drug Interactions

Because of possible drug interactions, rabeprazole should not be used while taking digoxin, ketoconazole or anticoagulants.
