Instructions

  1. Garlic Cough Syrup

    • 1

Mince a pound and a half of garlic and place it into a quart jar. Garlic is considered a miracle worker when it comes to both digestive and coughing problems.

    • 2

Cover the garlic completely with honey. This will act as the syrup for your cough medicine. The honey's natural healing ability will adhere to your throat and soothe the stomach lining that is undoubtedly bothered by the acid buildup in your stomach.

    • 3

Tighten the quart jar's lid as much as possible to make sure no air is allowed in. The less air that is in the jar, the better, as more pressure will be created, allowing for the best marinate of garlic and honey.

    • 4

Place the concoction into the refrigerator for at least 24 hours to marinate. Ideally you would want to let it marinate for about two weeks, but if your cough is truly worrisome, you do not have that kind of time to waste.

    • 5

Take a teaspoon of the mixture when you awake in the morning. This will alleviate both the cough and the burning that acid reflux may cause.
