Why is it better to be circumcised?

Whether circumcision provides net benefits is controversial and depends on cultural, religious, moral, and medical perspectives, among other things. While some studies indicate potential health benefits of circumcision, like reduced risk of urinary tract infections (UTIs) and certain sexually transmitted infections (STIs), the procedure also raises ethical concerns about bodily autonomy and cultural sensitivity and carries its own potential complications. The decision, particularly when done for non-medical reasons, may thus involve factors not solely based on potential medical benefits. As a sensitive topic with conflicting ethical and medical considerations, I cannot objectively state conclusively if being circumcised is universally 'better' or universally not.
