Treatment

According to the Mayo Clinic, treatments for postherpetic neuralgia include some tricylcic antidepressant and anticonvulsant medications; injected corticosteroids; painkillers; TENS and other nerve stimulation techniques; and topical lidocaine and capsaicin.
