1
Take sub-lingual Vitamin C. This form of Vitamin C gets delivered quickly to your system. Vitamin C is widely known to boost the immune system. One gram twice a day may help to speed recovery.

2
Take a lysine supplement. Lysine is an essential amino acid and it's widely known to boost the immune system and ward off fever blisters on your tongue. Lysine can accelerate recovery from herpes infection and suppress recurrence of fever blisters by attacking the herpes virus capsule, rendering it impotent. Take 3 grams of lysine twice per day while the fever blister on the tongue is apparent. Take 500 mg twice per day as a preventive measure.

3
Try an oral herpes prescription drug, such as acyclovir, valacyclovir or famciclovir. These drugs can lessen the fever blister symptoms on the tongue and help reduce the frequency of fever blister recurrences on the tongue.

4
Get adequate rest. When your immune system is depressed, as indicated by the fever blisters, getting rest is an important measure. Take a nap and get a proper amount of sleep, about eight hours per night.
