Take a walk and get moving. Losing extra pounds will usually lower blood pressure. Exercise of any kind is good for the heart.

Limit stress as much as possible. If you can avoid it, do so. If not, try relaxation techniques such as yoga or biofeedback.

Quit smoking. Smoking can damage blood vessels and cause blood pressure to rise.
