    Symptoms

    Treatments

    • Thiazide diuretics, also known as water pills, and Indapamide (also referred to as Lozol) along with beta-blockers are common drug types used to treat hypertension.

    Risks

    • Men with hypertension have an increased risk of developing erectile dysfunction. Hypertension also affects other organs of the body, particularly the kidneys; it can be a direct cause of kidney disease.
