Coreg CR Directions
Coreg is the name brand for the alpha and beta-blocker carvedilol, a medication used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. The beta-blocking activity of Coreg decreases the rate and force of heart contraction, thus decreasing blood pressure and slowing the progression of heart failure. The alpha-blocking activity allows the smooth muscle in blood vessels to relax, thus lower blood pressure. Coreg CR is the extended release form of the medication, thus it allows for once a day dosing.Instructions
