Why is AIDS a communicable disease?
Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is caused by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), which is a communicable disease. It can be transmitted through direct contact with infected blood, semen, vaginal fluids, rectal fluids, and breast milk. It is also possible to transmit the virus through sharing needles or other drug paraphernalia that have been contaminated with infected blood. Therefore, AIDS is considered a communicable disease.
