Herbal Cure for AIDS?

AIDS is nothing new these days, but it is still concerning and it is still a very real threat. The average consumer tends to be internet savvy and understands how to find the information they are looking for. Many people are turning to alternative methods of treatment, so why should AIDS be any different? Herbal cures can be effective in helping treat symptoms of AIDS, since there is no cure for the disease.
  1. Herbal Immune System Tea

    • AIDS is an autoimmune disorder, so using an herbal tea to boost the immune system makes sense. Herbal immune system tea is also sometimes referred to as revivo. It was developed in southern China. AIDS has become an epidemic in southern Asia. The tea is supposed to be effective by restoring the immune system function of the body. The suggested dosage is to drink 2 cups of tea a day, one in the morning and one in the evening. After the patient has been drinking the tea for four days in a row, he or she should pause for at least one day. After the first five days, continue drinking the tea daily for up to one month.

    AHCC Powder

    • AHCC Powder (Active Hexose Correlated Compound) is an extract that is produced from specially cultivated and hybridized mushrooms. It supports the defense mechanism in the body function and stimulates the natural killer cells. Natural killer cells and intercellular mediators are both important for maintenance of healthy cell function. AHCC is also full of antioxidants and supports healthy live function.

    Astragalus

    • Astragalus is available in the form of an extract. It's extracted from the roots of Astragalus membranaceus plants. The recommended suggested use is 30 to 40 drops, three to four times per day. Use moderately if suffering from acute inflammation or fever. Astragalus is relatively cheap, costing between $7 to $12 per bottle. It can be ordered from specialty shops online.

As with any new regimen or herbal supplement, talk to your doctor about what you plan on taking. Always let your doctor and/or your pharmacist know what alternative and herbal supplements you take along with your current medications. Herbal supplements alone are considered to be fairly safe, but mixing them with certain supplements, prescriptions and over-the-counter drugs can be dangerous.
