1
Schedule and appointment if any of the following symptoms occur suddenly: hair loss, fatigue, weight fluctuation, acne, irritability, or depression. Get a comprehensive blood test done to check for cholesterol, thyroid, triglycerides, and iron levels. This will determine the cause of hormone imbalances and proper treatment can be prescribed.

2
Take the medicine necessary based on blood test results. Hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism can be taken care of with daily medication. In exceptional cases, surgery may be necessary.
-
3
See a gynecologist if you are a woman experiencing severe mood changes, sporadic periods, or acne. Most of the time, birth control pills will be dispensed and will moderate these irregularities.

4
Eat foods that will help control hormone levels. If insulin resistance is the reason for a hormonal imbalance, you should acquire a diet similar to a diabetic. This includes consumption of lean meats like chicken, fresh fish, and soy products. Cruciferous vegetable like broccoli, cauliflower and foods containing whole grains are also beneficial.
