Symptoms of Estrogen Dominance in Women

Estrogen dominance in women is a condition in which the progesterone level in the body is lower in relation to the normal, low or high level of estrogen present. This condition is caused by any number of factors that may include obesity, hormones present in commercial meat and dairy products, pesticides in vegetation and toxins in the environment and daily-use products. The symptoms of estrogen dominance are numerous and unpleasant and require diagnosis through medical consultation.
  1. Cervical Dysplasia

    • Cervical dysplasia is a precancerous condition categorized by the identification of abnormal cells on the cervical surface.

    Low Libido

    • A low libido is the lack of or lowered sexual desire, caused by the lack of a progesterone spike during ovulation.

    Fibrocystic Breasts

    • Fibrocystic breasts is a condition in which cysts in one or both breasts swell and become painful and tender prior to menstruation.

    Hair Loss

    • Hormonal imbalance can cause an overall thinning of the hair on the head. Additionally, this condition may also cause unwanted hair growth in other areas of the body.

    Thyroid Interference

    • The hormones secreted by the thyroid regulate the metabolic rate. Estrogen dominance disrupts the hormonal balance of the thyroid and typically causes hypothyroidism, which can result in weight gain, fatigue and intolerance to cold.

    Uterine Fibroids

    • Uterine fibroids are noncancerous tumors that grow within or on the uterus. They can cause heavy bleeding during menses and severe pain.
