I am 43 this wondering could i be starting the menopause becayse my periods are regular but last one was 20th of march and we always use condoms as contraception?

The average age for a woman to start menopause is 51, but it can begin as early as 40 or as late as 60. Some women experience symptoms of perimenopause, the transition to menopause, in their 40s. These symptoms can include irregular periods, hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings.

If you are concerned that you may be starting menopause, there are a few things you can do:

* Track your menstrual cycle to see if your periods are becoming irregular.

* Look for other symptoms of perimenopause, such as hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings.

* Talk to your doctor. They can assess your symptoms and determine if you are starting menopause.

If you are confirmed to be in perimenopause, there are a number of things you can do to manage your symptoms, such as:

* Lifestyle changes, such as eating a healthy diet, getting regular exercise, and reducing stress

* Over-the-counter medications, such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen, to relieve hot flashes and night sweats

* Prescription medications, such as hormone therapy, to reduce the symptoms of menopause

Remember, every woman experiences menopause differently. Talk to your doctor if you have any concerns about your menstrual cycle or your health.
