Who is saint for endocrinology?

St. Valentine is considered the patron saint for those suffering from epilepsy and all diseases of the head. There seems to be nothing in history to connect him with either illness. In the Western Church it appears to have arisen because his feast day, 14 February, marks the beginning of spring when, in former generations, people believed epilepsy became much worse and headaches were at their most painful.
