How many subtypes of hpv are there?
There are over 200 subtypes of human papillomavirus (HPV). Different subtypes of HPV are associated with different health conditions. Some subtypes, such as HPV-16 and HPV-18, are considered high-risk and are associated with cervical, vulvar, vaginal, anal, and oropharyngeal cancers. Other subtypes, such as HPV-6 and HPV-11, are considered low-risk and are associated with genital warts.
