Are the hypothalamus and neurohypophysis same?
The hypothalamus and neurohypophysis are not the same. The hypothalamus is a small brain region located at the base of the skull, while the neurohypophysis is a small structure located at the base of the brain that is connected to the hypothalamus. The hypothalamus is involved in a variety of functions, including regulating body temperature, hunger, thirst, and sleep. The neurohypophysis is involved in releasing hormones into the bloodstream.
