Bisolvon, also known as dextromethorphan, is a cough suppressant used for the treatment of symptoms associated with coughing. The medication works by signaling the nerve impulses in the brain that lead to the cough trigger, which in turn alleviates coughing in users. Some common side effects include upset stomach, allergic reactions, hives, rash, difficulty breathing, closing of the throat and swelling of the lips, mouth and tongue. Some of these include anxiety, severe dizziness, nervousness, drowsiness, restlessness, hallucinations, confusion and slow breathing. Bisolvon has been known to cause dizziness and drowsiness in users, so it is highly recommended that users do not operate any type of machinery throughout the course of treatment.
