How to Use HCG
HCG is short for human chorionic gonadotropin, a naturally occurring hormone in the female body that regulates the release of an egg during ovulation. It is used to treat a variety of conditions including infertility and a low sperm count. It is also used on young boys whose testicles have not descended properly. HCG is administered through injection into the skin or muscle by a doctor or nurse, but it can also be self-injected if the person has the proper knowledge and experience to do it. HCG is available in a pre-mixed state, or in powder and liquid form, which must be mixed together before injection.Things You'll Need

1
Talk to your doctor about proper dosage of HCG. She will tell you how much to use and when to use it.
-
2
Make sure your doctor or a nurse instructs you on how to mix HCG, and how and where to inject it. Do not attempt to self-inject if you're not sure how to use the syringe properly. Otherwise, have your doctor or nurse administer the injection.
-
3
Always use a new syringe when injecting and dispose of used needles in a Sharps container or biohazard bag. Ask your doctor for the proper procedure when disposing of used needles. You can usually purchase a needle-disposing container (puncture-proof container) at your local pharmacy.

4
Notify your doctor right away if you suspect that you are pregnant when using HCG. Do not use this medication if you are pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant. It can cause birth defects in an unborn child.

5
Schedule regular visits with your doctor to monitor your progress while using HCG. Monthly visits are likely.
