How to Determine if You Have Chronic Nose Bleeds
Nose bleeds can occur due to trauma, blowing the nose forcefully or as a result of high blood pressure. At times nose bleeds occur spontaneously. Nosebleeds are common in the winter months due to the dry air when heat is always on in the home. People who live in dry climate areas may also suffer from this condition more often. Air conditioning can also cause the nasal passages to dry out and bleeding from the nose may occur. Colds and allergies can also produce similar results.Instructions

How to Determine if You Have Chronic Nose Bleeds
-
1
Determining whether you suffer from chronic nose bleeds depends largely upon the frequency of the nosebleeds and the period of time in which they have taken place. Chronic nose bleeds may occur spontaneously 3 to 4 times a week over a period of time.

2
Use a pen and pad to write down the frequency of each nose bleed and how long the symptoms last. Take this list to your physician.

Your physician should be able to determine the underlying cause. If an underlying cause such as hypertension exists, medication can be prescribed to treat the condition. If no underlying cause is found, lifestyle adjustments may lessen the frequency of chronic nosebleeds.
