Drink a full glass of water at the onset on dizziness. Make sure to drink a sufficient amount of water daily to avoid dehydration. Dehydration commonly leads to dizziness.

Lie down in a comfortable place and attempt to wait out the dizziness. Sometimes taking a short nap can alleviate the symptoms.

Decrease or discontinue use of stimulants such as caffeine and nicotine. These substances are known to cause a loss of balance.

Avoid moving around rapidly. Try to stay in one place until the dizziness is gone. Rapid movements can make the symptoms feel much worse.
